I've been playing again. . . someone said our site looked like a ten year old had been allowed to go mad with some crayons, so I've spent the best part of my day changing it.

Hey, it's the very least I can do for you and this site. The one thing that has stood out for me with the JGE community is the feeling of camaraderie. It makes a refreshing change.

One of the conditions of 'Squad' membership may very well be signing up to these boards. . . . I will, without doubt encourage the JGE squad members to sign up here.

Well I've finally got my act together and started our Squad. Here's the blurb

Fallen Wild are coming to Jumpgate Evolution.

Fallen Wild is a UK based community for mature, casual players of various games. We currently have a thriving Guild in Age of Conan and now plan to start sections for Stargate Worlds, Warhammer Online and last but not least Jumpgate Evolution.

We have around 120 members signed up to our forums, most with busy social lives, jobs and some with families, hence the �Casual� nature of the community. We don�t expect members to be around 24 hours a day, seven days a week. We believe in a more �Free Form� approach to online gaming, where players can enjoy their game at their own pace with friends and fellow Guild/Squad members. To add to the �Community� feel we have our own Team Speak server and for the oldies out there an mIRC room.

I have spent the last 10 years playing games online these include, X Wing Alliance, Starlancer, Freelancer, Freespace/Freespace 2, Earth and Beyond, Star Wars Galaxies, Counter Strike Source, Guild Wars and Age of Conan. My enthusiasm for Space Combat games has been re-ignited by Jumpgate Evolution and I�m eager to get back into the cockpit.

We have applied for the �Guild� beta with 20 of our current members. Some have also applied as individuals and if successful will join up with the Squad in the beta test.

Great news . . .

The one big issue I've had with the beta's I've been involved with in the past is that the developers seem to have lost interest before the beta code was released and the game got lost somewhere inbetween.

Lets hope CM and ND are happy enough to let us monkey's have play very soon.
